Opened in 1983, Framin’ Place & Gallery at Woodsmill and Olive Boulevard in Chesterfield is one of the oldest continually operating custom frame shops in the West County St. Louis, Missouri, area. Karen has been at Framin’ Place for since 2000 as our certified framer. In 2015, she became the proud owner of Framin Place along with her brother and artist, Jim Marshall.
Framin' Place has not just one, but two certified framers. Karen and Cathy have over 60 years of framing experience and will consult with you on your framing project. All work is done on the premises.
I have had many things framed at the Framin' Place over the years and I have never been disappointed. They do a great job on standard framing, and rise to the occasion when they are faced with an unusual job. Some of the more original include a shadow box for a knitted teddy bear, my son's track medals, and pieces of computers. They have done museum mounting for some of the work I have brought them. I have always been happy with their work, their friendliness and their prices.
Why I love Framin Place, Framin' Place & Gallery...So I bring in a stack of Photographs to be matted and I simply ask Karen to put the images in "the right size mats for them"...and when I get them they are always done perfectly! People often make a mistake of wanting a piece of Art to fit a certain mat or frame size that "isn't right"...BIG MISTAKE...The end!
